Rear - 1500 Only

CAUTION:

Move axle shaft carefully to prevent damage to the shaft bearing and seal in the axle tube.

  1. Pull the axle shaft out of the axle approximately 25mm (1 in.) for clearance to remove the wheel stud. Refer to the appropriate Differential/Driveline article.
  2. Press the stud (1) from the hub using Ball Joint Press (special tool #C-4150A, Press, Ball Joint) (3).
  3. Remove the stud (1) from the rear of the hub flange.
