Diagnostic Test

- TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
- Operate the Right rear window up and down several times.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
Does the scan tool display B251A-RIGHT REAR WINDOW POSITION SENSOR 2 CIRCUIT PERFORMANCE?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- (Q308) RIGHT REAR WINDOW HALL SENSOR A SIGNAL CIRCUIT OPEN

- (Q310) RIGHT REAR WINDOW HALL SENSOR B SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO THE (Q308) RIGHT REAR WINDOW HALL SENSOR A SIGNAL CIRCUIT
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Power Top Control Module C1 connector.
- Measure the resistance between the (Q310) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor B Signal circuit in the PTCM C1 connector (cavity 11) and the (Q308) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor A Signal circuit in the PTCM C1 connector (cavity 12).
Is the resistance below 10k Ohms?
Yes
- Correct the crossed wiring between the (Q310) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor B Signal circuit and the (Q308) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor A Signal circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Replace the power window motor in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- (Q308) RIGHT REAR WINDOW HALL SENSOR A SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND

- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Power Top Control Module C1 connector.
- Measure the resistance between Ground and the (Q308) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor A Signal circuit.
Is the resistance below 10k Ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (Q308) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor A Signal circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Go To 5
- (Q308) RIGHT REAR WINDOW HALL SENSOR A SIGNAL CIRCUIT OPEN

- Measure the resistance of the (Q308) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor A Signal circuit between the PTCM C1 connector (cavity 12) and the Motor connector (cavity 5).
Is the resistance below 2.0 Ohms?
No
- Repair the (Q308) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor A Signal circuit for an open.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Yes
- Go To 6
- Measure the resistance of the (Q308) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor A Signal circuit between the PTCM C1 connector (cavity 12) and the Motor connector (cavity 5).
- (Q308) RIGHT REAR WINDOW HALL SENSOR A SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE

- Turn the ignition on.
- Measure the voltage between Ground and the (Q308) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor A Signal circuit.
Is there any voltage present?
Yes
- Repair the (Q308) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor A Signal circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Replace the Power Top Control Module (PTCM) in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
