Latch, Folding Top, Panel To Panel: Removal: Removal

NOTE:
The left and right latch assemblies are identically mounted except for a micro switch on the left rear or lower latch to rear panel.
- Lower the mid panel headliner. Refer to HEADLINER, REMOVAL - CONVERTIBLE TOP, CONVERTIBLE SOFT TOP UNIQUE COMPONENTS or HEADLINER, REMOVAL - CONVERTIBLE TOP, RETRACTABLE HARD TOP UNIQUE COMPONENTS.
- Make sure the mid panel is unlatched.
- With a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the placement of the panel to panel latch assembly (3 and 6).
- Disconnect the cable end at the latch at the front of the mid panel.
- Unclip the horizontal rod that is attached to the center pivot assembly (with the hydraulic cylinder on it).
- Left side only - disconnect the electrical connector (4) to the micro switch at the rear/lower latch.
- Remove the six bolts (2) to the latch assembly - three at each latch mechanism.
- Separate from top.
