Switch, Oil Pressure: Removal: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  3. Remove the splash shield from the right side frame rail Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the accessory drive belt Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the three bolts (2) and reposition the A/C compressor (1).

  6. Disconnect the oil pressure switch electrical connector.
  7. Remove the oil pressure switch using oil pressure socket (special tool #C-4597, Socket, Oil Pressure) (1) or equivalent.
