Diagnostic Test

- ACTIVE DTC NOTE:
Diagnose all CAN B and C communication DTCs before continuing.
- Ignition on, engine not running.
- With a scan tool, view DTCs.
Is the status Active for this DTC?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT DTC diagnostic procedure. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- TCM COMMUNICATION RELATED DTCs IN OTHER MODULES
- With the scan tool, select Network Diagnostics.
Is there more than one module with active DTCs "Logged Against" the TCM at this time?
Yes
- Replace and program the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in accordance with the service information. Refer to MODULE, TRANSMISSION CONTROL, DESCRIPTION .
- Perform the NAG1 TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to appropriate diagnostic information.
No
- Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module in accordance with the service information. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL, REMOVAL .
- Perform the PCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- With the scan tool, select Network Diagnostics.
