Diagnostic Test

- ACTIVE DTC NOTE:
If DTC P025A, P0627, or P1205 are present, repair that DTC before proceeding with this test.
- Turn the ignition on, engine not running.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- CHECK THE (N13) FPCM PUMP FEED CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the FPCM harness connector.
- Measure the resistance between ground and the (N13) FPCM Pump Feed circuit at the FPCM harness connector.
Is the resistance less than 10k ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (N13) FPCM Pump Feed circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Go To 3
- CHECK THE (N13) FPCM PUMP FEED CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN OR HIGH RESISTANCE
- Leave the ignition off.
- Leave the FPCM harness connector disconnected.
- Disconnect the PCM C1 harness connector.
- Measure the resistance of the (N13) FPCM Pump Feed circuit from the FPCM harness connector to the PCM C1 harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Replace the Fuel Pump Control Module according to the Service Information.
Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Repair the (N13) FPCM Pump Feed circuit for an open or high resistance.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Replace the Fuel Pump Control Module according to the Service Information.
