Theory Of Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2013 RAM 3500 HD and 2013 RAM 2500 HD. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Body Control Module (BCM) receives the input from the headlamp switch requesting fog lamp illumination. The BCM provides a pulse width modulated (PWM) voltage output through the fog lamp driver circuit, which connects to the Fog Lamp. A ground path for the lamps is present through the harness to the body sheet metal. For additional information on the Fog Lamp operation. Refer to OPERATION .
