Theory Of Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2013 RAM 3500 HD and 2013 RAM 2500 HD. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Body Control Module (BCM) receives a communication network message from the Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) requesting high beam lamp illumination. When this message is received, the BCM provides a Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) voltage output through the high beam driver circuit which connects to the High Beam Lamp. A common ground circuit is used for the Low and High Beam Lamps. For additional information on the Headlamp operation. Refer to OPERATION .
