CNG Removal

  1. Perform the CNG fuel system purge. Refer to FUEL TUBE PURGING - CNG  .FUEL TUBE PURGING - CNG 
  2. Disconnect the IAT sensor (2)
  3. Remove the air cleaner upper cover (3) and clean air tube (1) at the throttle body as an assembly.
  4. Remove the lower air cleaner housing assembly.

  5. Remove the lower air cleaner housing mount (2).

  6. Remove the PCM bracket (2) from the inner fender (1) and position aside.

  7. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
  8. Disconnect the CNG shut-off relay (3).
  9. Remove the high pressure line (2) from the regulator (1).

  10. If required, remove the high side inlet fitting (1) from the pressure regulator (2).

  11. Remove the filter from the inlet fitting.

  12. Disconnect the high pressure sensor electrical connector (3).
  13. Disconnect the high pressure shut down solenoid electrical connector (9).
  14. Lower the cooling system to the proper level.
  15. Remove the cooling lines at the regulator (8).

  16. Remove the low pressure supply line at the fuel rail.
  17. Remove the nuts (3) that mount the regulator (2) to the bulkhead.

  18. Remove the bolts (4) that mount the regulator (1) to the bracket (3).
  19. Remove the low side supply line (2).

  20. If required, remove the low side elbow (2) from the pressure regulator (1).
