Left Side Positive

  1. Position the battery positive cable (1, 3) in the vehicle.
  2. Connect the battery cable retaining pushpin's securing the cable.
  3. Raise the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  4. Install the B+ cable nut (2) and tighten to 14 N.m (124 in. lbs.).
  5. Secure the terminal cap onto the starter stud.
  6. Connect starter solenoid wire harness connector (3).
  7. Lower the vehicle.

  8. Install the battery cable retaining pushpin securing the cable to the battery tray.
  9. Install the cable (1) to the Power Distribution Center (PDC). Tighten nut (2) to 10 N.m (89 in lbs.).
  10. Connect the wire harness retainer (3) at the PDC.

  11. Connect the positive cable to clamp and tighten nut to 10 N.m (89 in lbs.).
  12. Install the battery positive cable (9) to clamp (5). Tighten Nut (6) to 6 N.m (53 in. lbs.).
  13. Connect the battery positive cable terminal clamp (8). Tighten Nut (7) to 4 N.m (35 in. lbs.).
  14. Connect the battery negative cable terminal clamp (3) and tighten to 6 N.m (53 in. lbs.).
