Secondary Radiator

  1. Disconnect and isolate both negative battery cable.
  2. Remove fasteners (2) and the upper radiator shroud (1).
    WARNING:

    Do not remove the cylinder block drain plugs or loosen the radiator draincock with the system hot and under pressure. Serious burns from coolant can occur.

  3. Drain the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  4. Remove the front grille. Refer to GRILLE, REMOVAL .
  5. Remove bolts and the hood latch. Detach the hood latch cable from and retainers clips.

  6. Remove push pin retainers (2) and the right side outer air deflector (1).

  7. Remove push pin retainer (1) and the left side outer air deflector (2).

  8. Remove the coolant bottle hose (1) from secondary radiator.

  9. Remove the upper radiator hose (1) from secondary radiator.

  10. Remove bolt (1) and the cold air inlet snorkel (2).
  11. If required, disconnect the transmission cooler lines.

  12. Remove two bolts (2) and position aside the A/C condenser (1).

  13. Remove retainers (2) and the intermediate flexible shroud (1) at secondary radiator.

  14. Remove the lower radiator hose (1) at secondary radiator.

    NOTE:

    Left side secondary radiator mount is a tight fit.

  15. Remove bolts (1) and the secondary radiator.
