6.7L Diesel

  1. Clean and inspect the threads in the cylinder block and heater element.
  2. Coat heater element threads with Mopar® Thread Sealer with Teflon.
  3. Screw engine block heater (1) into cylinder block and tighten to 75 N.m (55 ft. lbs.).

  4. Connect block heater cord and securely tighten retaining cap (1).
  5. Fill cooling system with recommended coolant. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  6. Connect both negative battery cables.
  7. Start and warm the engine.
  8. Check block heater for leaks.
