Valve, Oil Pressure Relief: Removal: Removal

  1. Disconnect both negative battery cables.
  2. Remove the threaded plug (2), spring (4).
  3. Insert a finger or a seal pick to lift the plunger (5) from the bore.
NOTE:

If the plunger is stuck in the bore, it will be necessary to remove the filter head. Also, the pressure relief valve (not shown in the illustration) is located behind filter head.
