Plate, Transmission Adapter: Installation: Installation

Replace the camshaft O-ring seal (1).

Install the transmission adapter plate (1). Tighten bolts (2) in a criss-cross pattern to 77 N.m (57 ft. lbs.).
Install the starter motor. Refer to STARTER, INSTALLATION .

If equipped, Install the top engine block stiffener (1). Tighten bolts (2) to 89 N.m (66 ft. lbs.).

If equipped, Install the right engine block stiffener bolts (2) and tighten bolts to 89 N.m (66 ft. lbs.).

If equipped, Install the left engine block stiffener bolts (2) and tighten bolts to 89 N.m (66 ft. lbs.).
On manual transmission models, install the flywheel. Refer to FLYWHEEL, INSTALLATION .

Install the flex plate. Refer to FLEXPLATE, INSTALLATION, 6.7L .
