Cylinder Head Cover

  1. Disconnect and isolate both negative battery cables.
  2. Remove the engine oil dipstick (3).
  3. Remove fasteners (1, 4) and the engine cover (2).

  4. Disconnect the crankcase pressure sensor 1 wire harness connector (7).

  5. Disconnect the crankcase pressure sensor 2 wire harness connector (1).

  6. Remove the Close Crankcase Ventilation (CCV) cover (4) and crankcase breather. Refer to SYSTEM, CLOSED CRANKCASE VENTILATION (CCV), REMOVAL .
  7. Remove the two CCV oil drains tubes (3) from cylinder head cover (4).

  8. Remove bolts (1) and the cylinder head cover (2).

  9. If necessary, disconnect both injector harness connectors (1).

  10. If necessary, loosen the fuel injector wire harness nuts (1) on the cylinder head cover gasket (2).
  11. If necessary, remove the cylinder head cover gasket (2).
