Bracket, Caliper Mounting: Installation: Installation

NOTE:
Leaf spring system shown in illustration, coil spring system similar.

- Install the caliper adapter mount (1) on the axle housing (2).
- Install support plate on axle flange. Tighten attaching nuts (3) to 102 N.m (75 ft. lbs.).
- Install parking brake cable in the brake lever.
- Install the park brake shoes. Refer to SHOES, PARKING BRAKE, INSTALLATION .
- Install axle shaft, refer to INSTALLATION, 10 1/2 AA or INSTALLATION, 11 1/2 AA .
- Adjust brake shoes to drum with brake gauge. Refer to SHOES, PARKING BRAKE, ADJUSTMENTS .
- Install the rotor. Refer to ROTOR, BRAKE, INSTALLATION .
- Install the caliper adapter. Refer to ADAPTER, DISC BRAKE CALIPER, INSTALLATION .
- Install the caliper. Refer to CALIPER, DISC BRAKE, INSTALLATION .
- Install wheel and tire assembly. Refer to WHEELS, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
