Diagnostic Test

FUEL SYSTEM OR IGNITION SYSTEM DTCS PRESENT
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, view DTCs.
  Are there any fuel or ignition system DTCs present?
  
  Yes
  - Perform the diagnostics for the fuel or ignition system related DTC(s) before proceeding with this diagnostic procedure.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  No
  - Go To 2
PERFORM THE ENGINE CRANKS BUT WILL NOT START
1. Perform the ENGINE CRANKS BUT WILL NOT START diagnostic procedure. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
  Were any problems found?
  
  Yes
  - Perform the appropriate repair. Refer to 3.6L ENGINE - SERVICE INFORMATION .
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  No
  - Perform the ENGINE WILL NOT CRANK diagnostic procedure. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
