Diagnostic Test

  1. PROGRAM THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE 
    NOTE:

    Diagnose any Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor DTCs before continuing.

    1. Verify the PCM is at the latest calibration (flash level).
      NOTE:

      An intermittent loss of power to the PCM without performing an ETC Relearn procedure may cause this DTC to set.

    2. Program the PCM in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE and follow the PCM/ECM PROGRAMMING procedure .
    3. Start the engine.
    4. Allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature.
    5. Operate the accelerator pedal. (do not exceed 3500 rpm).
    6. With the scan tool, select View DTCs.
      NOTE:

      Diagnose any other DTCs that may have set with the P060F.

      Does this DTC reset by itself?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Test Complete.
