Shaft, Axle Intermediate: Removal: Removal

  1. Remove half shaft from disconnect side of the axle Refer to SHAFT, AXLE, REMOVAL .

  2. Remove actuator wiring connector.
  3. Remove actuator bolts (1).

  4. Remove actuator (1) from disconnect pocket (2).

  5. Remove axle tube assembly bolts (2).
  6. Remove axle tube assembly (1). Keep disconnect collar with output shaft and tube assembly.

  7. Remove intermediate shaft (1) using (special tool #C-4333A-1, Puller, Pulley) (2) and (special tool #C-637, Slide Hammer, Universal).
