Output Shaft Assembly, Front Axle: Removal: Removal

  1. Remove half shaft from disconnect side of the axle. Refer to SHAFT, AXLE, REMOVAL .
  2. Remove snap ring (3) and O-ring (2) from output shaft.
  3. Remove oil slinger (1) and discard.

  4. Remove actuator wiring connector.
  5. Remove actuator bolts (1).

  6. Remove actuator (1) from disconnect pocket (2).

  7. Remove axle tube assembly bolts (2).
  8. Remove axle tube assembly (1).

  9. Remove output shaft snap ring (1) from axle tube (3).
  10. Remove output shaft (2) from axle tube (3).
