Cable, Manual Park Release: Installation: Installation

Starting with the transmission side of cable, route the cable through the bulkhead from inside the vehicle.
Seat the MPR cable grommet into the bulkhead.

Install the MPR lever (1) into the instrument panel from the backside.
Tighten two screws holding the MPR lever (1).

Install the MPR cover (1).
Raise and support the vehicle
Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Attach the cable into the frame bracket.
Position the cable into the clip on the bell housing.

Clip the cable into the bracket (1) at the transmission lever.
Push the cable onto the transmission lever ball stud (2).
Verify operation of the MPR.
