Diagnostic Test

- VERIFY THE DTC IS ACTIVE
- AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM LEAKS
- Using the scan tool, under "Miscellaneous Functions" perform the Set Ride Height Level routine
- Using the scan tool, select "Off Road 2".
- Using the scan tool, under "Miscellaneous Functions" perform the Component Air Mass/Pressure/Ride Height routine.
- Record the Air Mass and Ride Height values.
- Using the scan tool, select CLOSE routine (NOT CONTINUE).NOTE: This will place the vehicle in "In Plant Mode".
- Let vehicle sit for 24 hours.
- Using the scan tool, under "Miscellaneous Functions" perform the Component Air Mass/Pressure/Ride Height routine.
- Record the Air Mass and Ride Height values.
Do the pressures and ride heights match?
Yes
- Go to 3.
No
- Perform the Air Suspension System leak test in accordance with the Service Information. (Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING ) .
- AIR COMPRESSOR VENT VALVE LEAKING OR STUCK OPEN
- Inspect the compressor for damage, blockages or obstructions to the vent valve that may cause an air leak.
- If compressor is damaged or leaking, Replace the Compressor (Refer to COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY, AIR SUSPENSION )
- If no leak or blockage is present, perform the COMPLETE SYSTEM FILL (Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE )
- With the scan tool, clear DTCs
- With the scan tool, read the DTCs in the ASCM.
Does the DTC remain active?
Yes
- Replace the Air Suspension Control Module (ASCM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, AIR SUSPENSION CONTROL, REMOVAL .
- Perform the ASCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE - ASCM VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time.
- INTERMITTENT WIRING, CONNECTORS AND AIR LINES
- Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring harness and connectors.
- Wiggle test the wiring harness and connectors while monitoring the scan tool data relative to this circuit.
- Look for the data to change or for the DTC to reset during the wiggle test.
- While monitoring the scan tool data relative to this circuit, move the selector switch to each position several times.
- Look for the data to change other than as expected or for the DTC to reset.
Were any problems found?
Yes
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform the ASCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE - ASCM VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time.
