Pipe, Exhaust: Installation: 3.6L

  1. Position the exhaust Y-pipe (1) with proper clearance between the frame and underbody parts. A minimum clearance of 25 mm (1.0 in.) is required.
  2. Position the Y-pipe to the catalytic convertor down pipes. Tighten the nuts (2) to 30 N.m (22 ft. lbs.).

  3. Align the exhaust pipe (1) to the Y-pipe (3). Tighten the nuts (2) to 30 N.m (22 ft. lbs.).
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks and exhaust system contact with the body panels. Adjust the alignment, if needed. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
