Diagnosis And Testing - Am/Fm From Radio To Cowl Cable

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the passenger side cowl trim panel (1). Refer to PANEL, Cowl Trim , Removal .

  3. Connect the (special tool #9977-6-2, Jumper) (1) to the white AM/FM fakra connector (2) in the passenger side cowl trim area.

  4. Remove the radio. Refer to RADIO , Removal .
  5. Connect the (special tool #9977-6-1, Adapter) (1) to the white AM/FM fakra connector (2) behind the radio.
  6. Set the DVOM (3) to OHMS or Ω , Insert the probes of the DVOM into the antenna tool.
  7. Is the resistance between 50Ω ± 5% (47.5 to 52.5)?
