Tubes And Hoses, Transmission Oil Cooler: Removal

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s) (Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE ).
- Raise and support the vehicle (Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE ) .
- Remove the front tire and wheel assemblies (Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE ) .
- Remove the front skid plate (Refer to PLATE, SKID, FRONT ) .
- Remove the steering rack (Refer GEAR, INDEPENDENT FRONT SUSPENSION ) .
- If 4WD, remove the front differential (Refer to REMOVAL )
- Remove the fastener (1) retaining the transmission cooler lines (2) to the transmission.
- Remove the fastener (1) and disconnect the Manual Park Release (MPR) cable (2). Place cable aside.
- Disconnect the transmission cooler lines (1) from the transmission heater (2) (Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE ) .
- Remove the fastener (1) retaining the transmission cooler lines (2) from the transmission bellhousing.
- Remove the retainer (1) supporting the transmission cooler lines (2) from the engine block.
- Lower vehicle on hoist
- Disconnect the transmission cooler lines (1) from the transmission cooler (2) (Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE ) .
- Raise vehicle on hoist.
- Remove the transmission lines from the vehicle.
