Theory Of Operation

The purpose of the diagnostic is to monitor the electrical failures of the park pawl sensor. These electrical failures include short to battery, short to ground and open circuit on either of the two pins of the park pawl sensor. All failure modes require the replacement of the Transmission Control Module Assembly (TCMA).
