Diagnostic Test

When Monitored:
- Continuously with the ignition on.
Set Condition:
- When the message is not received or stays unchanged for 10.5 seconds or more for two consecutive key-cycles.
- CHECK FOR TIPM CAN BUS DTCS
- With the scan tool, read TIPM DTCs.
Are there any TIPM CAN BUS DTCs present?
Yes
- Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.
- Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE and perform the AS68RC VERIFICATION TEST.
No
- Go To 2.
- With the scan tool, read TIPM DTCs.
- CHECK IF ENGINE DTCS ARE PRESENT
- With the scan tool, read engine DTCs.
Are there any engine DTCs present?
Yes
- Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.
- Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE and perform the AS68RC VERIFICATION TEST.
No
- Using the schematics as a guide, check the Transmission Control Module (TCM) pins, terminals, and connectors for corrosion, damage, or terminal push out. Pay particular attention to all power and ground circuits. If no problems are found, replace and program the TCM in accordance with the Service Information.
- Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE and perform the AS68RC VERIFICATION TEST.
- With the scan tool, read engine DTCs.
