Diagnostic Test

  1. VERIFY DTC IS ACTIVE 
    NOTE:

    The DTC C151D should not exist on its own. If any other DTC's are present, refer to the appropriate diagnostic procedure in this information first before continuing.

    NOTE:

    If a new TPM Module was installed, the vehicle must remain stationary for 20 minutes before proceeding with this diagnostic procedure.

    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, read and record TPM Module DTC's.
    3. Test drive the vehicle at a speed greater than 24 km/h (15 mph) for 20 minutes in order to receive TPM Sensor data and allow for the system to update.
    4. With the scan tool, erase TPM Module DTC's.
    5. With the scan tool, select View DTC's in the TPM Module.

      Is DTC C151D Active on its own at this time?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension.
      • Perform the TPM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
