CNG Installation

- If removed, install the high side filter into the inlet fitting.
- Install the inlet fitting (1) into the regulator (2). Tighten to 42 N.m (31 ft. lbs.).
- If removed, install the elbow into the low side out put. Tighten to 73 N.m (54 ft. lbs.).
- Position the regulator (1) to the mounting bracket (3).
- Install the regulator to bracket bolts. Tighten to 21 N.m (16 ft. lbs.).
- Loosely install the low pressure line (2) to the pressure regulator (1).
- Position the regulator assembly (2) onto the bulkhead by guiding the bracket tab (1) into the inner fender.
- Install the mounting nuts (3). Tighten to 9 N.m (80 in. lbs.).
- Tighten the low pressure supply line to 45 N.m (33 ft. lbs.).
- Install the high pressure supply line (2). Tighten line to 45 N.m (33 ft. lbs.).
- Connect the CNG shut-off relay (3) electrical connector.
- Connect the electrical connector to the high pressure sensor (3).
- Connect the high pressure shut down solenoid electrical connector (9).
- Install the cooling lines at the pressure regulator (8).
- Position the PCM bracket (2) to the inner fender (1).
- Position the air housing mount (2) to the inner fender.
- Align the mount to the PCM bracket. Tighten the air cleaner housing mount bolts (1) to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).
- Install the lower air cleaner housing assembly.
- Install the upper air cleaner cover (3) and clean air tube (1) assembly.
- Connect the IAT sensor electrical connector (2).
- Fill the CNG lines.
- Checked the CNG system for leaks using an air leak detection fluid.
- Connect the battery negative cable.
