CNG - Gasoline

NOTE:

If the same fuel injector is to be reinstalled, install new O-rings.

NOTE:

Apply a small amount of clean engine oil to each injector O-ring. This will aid in the installation.

  1. If the fuel injectors (3) are to be installed into the fuel rail (4)

    Refer to INSTALLATION .

  2. Position the fuel rail assembly while aligning the injectors into the holes in the intake manifold.
  3. Guide each injector into the intake manifold using care not to tear the injector O-rings.
  4. Using a side to side motion, gently rock the left fuel rail while pushing down until all four left side fuel injectors have completely seated into the machined holes in the intake manifold.

  5. Install the CNG fuel injector (4) into the fuel rail (1) using a side to side motion while pushing injector into the fuel rail assembly.
  6. Using suitable pliers, install the fuel injector retaining clip (3).

  7. Install the fuel rail assembly (2) into the intake manifold using a side to side motion.
  8. Install the Fuel rail bolts (3).
  9. Connect the fuel rail sensor electrical connector (1).
  10. Install the CNG fuel supply line (4) onto the fuel rail.
  11. Connect the fuel injectors electrical connectors.

  12. Connect the breather hose (3).
  13. Connect the PCV hose (1) to the PCV.

  14. Install the air cleaner housing cover (3) and intake hose (1) to the throttle body.
  15. Connect the IAT sensor electrical connector (2).
  16. Start the engine and check for fuel leaks using a air leak detection fluid.
