Theory Of Operation

The Heated Seat Module (HSM) controls the Vented Seat motor in each seat cushion and seat back. It receives requests via CAN - IHS Bus from the Body Control Module (BCM) and provides outputs to the designated Vented Seat motor. The Vented Seat motors operate with a high side driver receiving a varying voltage feed from the HSM to control motor speed.
