Theory Of Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2012 RAM Pickup and 2012 RAM Cab & Chassis. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) receives a bus message requesting low beam lamp illumination. When this bus message is received, the TIPM provides a voltage output through the low beam driver circuit. The low beam driver circuit connects to the Low Beam Lamp. A headlamp return signal circuit is used instead of a ground circuit. For additional information on the Headlamp operation. Refer to EXTERIOR LIGHTING - OPERATION .
