2500 - 3500 Heavy Duty

- Remove the rear bumper. Refer to BUMPER, REAR, REMOVAL .
- Remove the hitch bolts (1).
- Separate the truck bed (1) as necessary and lift off of the frame enough to allow removal of the hitch, Refer to BOX, PICKUP, REMOVAL
.
- Support the hitch with a suitable lifting device.
- Lift hitch locator pin (1) out of the hole (4) in the frame and slide back to release the front tab (2) from the frame hole (3).
- Remove the hitch (2).
