2500 - 3500 Heavy Duty

  1. Remove the transfer case skid plate (2), if equipped. Refer to PLATE, SKID, TRANSFER CASE, REMOVAL .

  2. Remove the nuts (3) fastening the transmission mount (1) to the transmission crossmember (2).

  3. Loosen the trailing arm bolts (2) and remove the nuts (1).

  4. Support the transmission with a transmission jack or suitable lifting device.
  5. Remove the four bolts (3) and nuts (1) and remove the transmission crossmember (2).
