Valve, Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION (EGR) Airflow Control: Removal

  2. Disconnect and isolate both of the negative battery cables.
  3. Remove the engine oil dipstick (2).
  4. Remove bolts (1) and the engine cover (3).

  5. Detach the wire harness retainers (1) from the heat shield.

  6. Remove nut (1) and bolt (3) and the EGR control valve heat shield (2).

  7. Remove clamps (1, 3) and the inlet hose (3).
  8. Disconnect the EGR air flow control valve wire harness connector (2).

  9. Remove four mounting bolts (4, 6) and the EGR air flow control valve (5).
  10. Remove gasket (3) and discard.
