System, Closed Crankcase Ventilation (CCV): Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate both of the negative battery cables.
  2. Remove the engine oil dipstick (3).
  3. Remove bolts (1) and the engine cover (2).

  4. Disconnect the crankcase pressure sensor wire harness connector (1).
  5. Remove the breather hose (2) from the breather cover.

    CAUTION:

    The use of air tools is not recommended as damage to the component may result.

  6. Remove the oil fill cap, the bolts (1) and the breather cover (2).

  7. Remove the breather element (1) from the cylinder head cover (2).
