High Output Engine

  1. Remove the transmission. Refer to appropriate Transmission Service Information article .
  2. Paint mark the flex plate hub to flex plate relation.
  3. Remove bolts (5), clamping ring (4), large friction shim (3), flex plate (2) and the small friction shim (1).
  4. Inspect flex plate for damage.
