Sensor, Fuel Pressure: Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2017 RAM 2500 HD. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The fuel tank pressure sensor reads the pressure from the cylinder tanks to the pressure regulator. The pressure signal is used for determining the fuel level in the CNG fuel system.

The fuel rail sensor monitors the pressure entering the fuel rail. The readings from the pressure and temperature are sent to the PCM were it can regulate the CNG fuel to the injectors. The PCM can adjust the short term or long term trim of the injectors depending on the information being received by the oxygen sensors. For the fuel rail procedure, refer to SENSOR, FUEL RAIL  .
