Sensor, Fuel Pressure: Removal

- Disconnect and isolate both of the negative battery cables.
- Remove the oil dipstick (2).
- Remove bolts (1) and the engine cover (2).
- Cut the cable tie and position aside the bulk head connector (1).
- If equipped, remove the transmission dipstick (3).
- Disconnect the exhaust pressure sensor wire harness connector (2).
- Disconnect the EGR cooler bypass valve wire harness connector (1).
- Disconnect the crankcase pressure sensor 2 wire harness connector (1).
- Disconnect crankcase pressure sensor 1 wire harness connectors (7).
- Disconnect both fuel injector harness connectors (1).
- Remove the CCV oil drains hoses (3) from cylinder head cover.
- Remove the fuel tube silencer (1).
- Remove two bolts (4) and No. 6 fuel tube shield (5) at rear of cylinder head.
- Remove cylinder No. 5 and No. 6 fuel lines (3 and 6).
- Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor wire harness connector (2).NOTE:
Do not use an impact socket, the socket wall is too thick and will not work.
- Using a 27 mm thin walled socket (3), remove fuel pressure sensor (2).
