Cooler And Lines, Oil: Installation

NOTE:

Inspect seal conditions. Seals can be re-used, if not damaged. Position seal in the seal channel and press lightly into place. Repeat procedure for each seal position.

  1. Lubricate seal and position oil filter adapter to the engine block. Tighten the bolts (2) to 12 N.m (9 ft. lbs.).
  2. If removed, install the oil filter connector (1). Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 ft. lbs.).

  3. Install oil cooler (1). Tighten the bolts (2) to 12 N.m (9 ft. lbs.).

  4. Install the oil temperature sensor (1). Tighten the bolts (2) to 27 N.m (9 ft. lbs.).
  5. Connect the oil temperature sensor electrical connector (1).
  6. Connect oil cooler coolant hoses (4, 6).
  7. Install oil filter.
  8. Install the oil filter funnel.
  9. If removed, install the secondary generator. Refer to GENERATOR, INSTALLATION .
  10. Lower vehicle.
  11. Fill cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  12. Connect the battery negative cable.
