Sensor, Turbocharger Speed: Removal

- Disconnect and isolate both of the negative battery cables.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the right wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE

- Disconnect the speed sensor wire harness connector (1).
- Cut the cable tie (2) securing the speed sensor wire harness to the turbocharger speed sensor wire harness.
- Open the clip (1) securing NOx wire harness and the turbocharger speed sensor wire harness.
- Remove support and lower the vehicle.
- Remove the bolt (2) and separate the retainer clip securing NOx wire harness and the turbocharger speed sensor wire harness to turbocharger actuator.
- Remove the banjo bolt and the turbocharger coolant line.CAUTION:
Do not use a screw driver or tool to pry sensor out of the turbocharger bearing housing. Damage to sensor may result. If sensor is damaged during removal, install a new sensor.
- Remove the bolt (2) and the turbocharger speed sensor (1).
- Remove the old O-ring and clean out the bore, being careful not to drop any debris in the hole.
