Cooler And Hoses, Charge Air: Installation

  1. If removed, the left side Charge Air Cooler (CAC) support bracket. Tighten bolt to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
  2. If removed, the right side CAC mounting bracket. Tighten bolt to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).

  3. Install the CAC (2). Tighten the right side bolts (1) to 31 N.m (22 ft. lbs.).

  4. Install the left side CAC bolt (1) and tighten to 31 N.m (22 ft. lbs.).

  5. Connect the left CAC hose to cooler. Tighten clamp to 11 N.m (8 ft. lbs.).

  6. Connect the right CAC hose to cooler. Tighten clamp to 11 N.m (8 ft. lbs.).

  7. Install the rear CAC shroud (2). Tighten bolts (1) to 9 N.m (80 in. lbs.).

  8. Install the right side CAC rear shroud bolts (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 in. lbs.).

  9. Install the rear CAC shroud (3) push pins (4).
  10. Position the front CAC shroud (2) and install push pins (1).

  11. Install the front four CAC shroud bolts (1). Tighten bolts to 9 N.m (80 in. lbs.).
  12. Install the left wheel house splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE .
  13. Install the right wheel house splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE .
  14. Remove support and lower the vehicle.
  15. Connect both of the negative battery cables.
  16. Start engine and check for boost system leaks.
