Manifold, Exhaust: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate both of the negative battery cables.
  2. Remove the EGR cooler. Refer to COOLER, EGR, REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the exhaust pressure tube. Refer to SENSOR, EXHAUST PRESSURE, REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the nuts and the exhaust manifold heat shield.
  5. Remove the turbocharger. Refer to TURBOCHARGER, REMOVAL, 6.7L .
  6. Remove the two rear exhaust manifold bolt lock plates (2).
  7. Remove the bolts (1), spacers (3), and the exhaust manifold.
