Valve, Oil Pressure Relief: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate both of the negative battery cables.
  2. Remove the threaded plug (2) and spring (4).
  3. Insert a finger or a seal pick to remove the plunger (5) from the bore.
NOTE:

If the plunger is stuck in the bore, it will be necessary to remove the filter head. Also, the pressure relief valve (not shown in illustration) is located behind filter head.
