Seal(S), Valve Guide: Installation

  1. Install the fuel injector(s) to the cylinder(s) being serviced. Refer to INSTALLATION .

  2. Lubricate the valve tips and install the crossheads (4) in their original locations.
  3. Lubricate the top crossheads (4) and push rod sockets and install the rocker arms (2) and pedestals (3) in their original locations and tighten the bolts (1) to 36 N.m (27 ft. lbs.).
  4. Verify valve lash adjustment. Refer to  STANDARD PROCEDURE   . 
  5. Install the rocker housing and the cylinder head cover. Refer to COVER(S), CYLINDER HEAD, INSTALLATION, 6.7L .

  6. Install the bell housing access cover (2) and tighten the bolts (1) to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).
  7. Connect both of the negative battery cables.
