Set Condition

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2017 RAM 2500 HD. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The PM Sensor module detects and reports to the PCM that either the current on the supply circuit between the sensor module and the heater in the probe goes below 0.5 amps for 3 seconds, or the voltage on the supply circuit goes below 3V for 3 seconds. The PCM will light the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) if either diagnostic runs and fails in 2 consecutive drive cycles. The PCM will turn off the MIL when the diagnostic runs and passes in 4 consecutive drive cycles.
