Set Condition
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2017 RAM 2500 HD. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Circuit high and resistance diagnostics:
- The PM Sensor will internally detect and report the following conditions to the PCM if they occur for 10 seconds:
- Voltage difference is the value of PM Sensor Voltage minus Battery Voltage.
- If Battery Voltage is above 15V: Voltage difference is above 1.1V.
- If Battery Voltage is between 11.7V-15V: Voltage difference is above 2.1V.
- If Battery Voltage is below 11.7V: Voltage difference is above 3.0V.
- Circuit low diagnostics:
- Voltage difference is the value of Battery Voltage minus PM Sensor Voltage.
- If Battery Voltage is above 15V: Voltage difference is above 3.0V.
- If Battery Voltage is between 11.7V-15V: Voltage difference is above 2.6V.
- If Battery Voltage is below 11.7V: Voltage difference is above 1.9V.
- The PCM will light the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) if any of these diagnostics runs and fails in 2 consecutive drive cycles.
- The PCM will turn off the MIL when the diagnostic runs and passes in 4 consecutive drive cycles.
