Diagnostic Test

- ACTIVE DTC
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, View DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- CHECK FOR THE (F203) SCR RELAY 1 HEATER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
- Turn the ignition off.
- Remove the F19 30A Fuse located in the PDC.
- Disconnect the DEF Dosing Control Unit C2 harness connector.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Measure the voltage on the (F203) SCR Module Heater Supply circuit at the DEF Dosing Control Unit harness connector.
Is there voltage present?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Replace the DEF Dosing Control Unit in accordance with the service information.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK FOR THE (F203) SCR RELAY 1 HEATER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE INSIDE THE PDC
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the PDC C5 harness connector.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Measure the voltage on the (F203) SCR Module Heater Supply circuit at the PDC C5 harness connector (PDC side).
Is there voltage present?
Yes
- Replace the Power Distribution Center in accordance with the service information.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Repair the (F203) SCR Module Heater Supply circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
