6.7L Diesel

  1. Clean and inspect the threads in the cylinder block and heater element.
  2. Coat the heater element threads with Mopar® Thread Sealer with Teflon.
  3. Screw the engine block heater (1) into the engine block and tighten to 75 N.m (55 ft. lbs.).

  4. Connect the block heater cord and securely tighten retaining cap (1).
  5. Fill the cooling system with recommended coolant. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  6. Connect both of the negative battery cables.
  7. Start and warm the engine.
  8. Check the engine block heater for leaks.
