Bottle, Pressurized Coolant: Installation

  1. Using the hose clamp pliers (2) (special tool #10288, Pliers, Hose Clamp) install the two coolant hose (3) onto the coolant bottle (1).

  2. Install the coolant bottle (2). Tighten the two nuts (1) to 9 N.m (80 in. lbs.).

  3. Install wire harness onto stud (2) and attach wire harness connector (1) to cowl.

  4. Attach the two coolant hose retainers (1 and 3).

  5. Install the coolant recovery bottle lower nut (4). Tighten nut (4) to 9 N.m (80 in. lbs.).
  6. Using the hose clamp pliers (special tool #10288, Pliers, Hose Clamp), install the lower coolant hose (3) to coolant bottle.
  7. Connect the coolant level sensor wire harness connector (2).
  8. Install the right battery tray. Refer to TRAY, BATTERY, INSTALLATION .
  9. Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  10. Connect both negative battery cables.
